What should I expect during the scan?
The QTscan® is designed with your comfort in mind. During the exam, you'll lie comfortably on your stomach while one breast rests in a warm water bath. Gentle sound waves—not X-rays—create detailed three-dimensional images of the breast, without painful compression or radiation.
Plush spa robe will be provided for patient to change into for scan in their own dressing room.
Patient will have their own private exam room.
Tech will ask any follow up questions after looking through questionnaires.
Patient will be explained the exam and shown how they will be positioned.
Once patient is comfortable the scan will begin.
Exam will last roughly 10 to 15 minutes per breast.
Once scan is complete for both breasts, scans will be sent to Radiologist, report will be returned within a timely manner to patient.
If any follow up is necessary Syringa Sisters will have available further resources and contact information.
