The biggest difference is our dual-expertise, sister-led care. Large hospitals and corporate imaging chains often feel cold, rushed, and mechanical. We built Syringa Sisters to be a warm, stress-free sanctuary for breast health.
With a combined 22 years of healthcare experience, our practice is owned and operated by two sisters: a registered nurse and a radiologist technologist. Choosing us means you get:
The Nurse and Tech Advantage: One sister brings the sharp technical precision of a Radiologist Technologist to ensure flawless imaging, while the other brings the clinical advocacy and comforting heart of a Registered Nurse.
An End to “Scanxiety”: We actively reject the assembly-line medical model. We take our time to be kind, caring, and thoughtful so you never feel rushed or anxious.
Deeply Local Care: We are your neighbors, not a corporate conglomerate. We live and work in this community, making your care and wellbeing fiercely personal to us.

The QT Scanner uses sound waves — not radiation — to build a detailed 3D breast tissue image. You'll lie comfortably while it captures those images without compression, contrast dye, or ionizing radiation. QTscan® is FDA-cleared as a supplemental screening tool, giving women an extra layer of clarity and comfort alongside their regular mammogram.

Your appointment is quick, gentle, and designed entirely around your peace of mind and comfort. We guide you through every step of the process:
A Warm Welcome: When you arrive, you will be greeted with a warm smile and made to feel safe and right at home.
Preparation & Comfort: Your clinical team will provide in-depth dressing instructions and hand you a comfortable robe. During the scan, you will lie comfortably on a specialized scanning table, nestled with cozy pillows and warm blankets.
Advanced, Painless Imaging: Advanced ultrasound technology handles the work with zero painful squeezing, tissue compression, or radiation exposure. Your clinician will explain the process in great detail every step of the way.
After the Scan: Once finished, you will be given a plush towel to dry off and change back into your clothes. Your team will explain exactly what to expect next in thorough detail.
Results & Next Steps: Your scan will be sent directly to a radiologist for review, and we will notify you the moment your results are ready. If any questions come up, we will provide you with all the necessary tools and resources to navigate your next steps.

Preparing for your QT Scan is simple and stress-free! Because our technology does not require traditional clinical preparation, you can dress comfortably. On the day of your scan, please avoid applying lotions, powders, perfumes, or deodorants to your chest and underarm area, similar to a standard imaging appointment. The moment you arrive, our caring team will guide you through each step so you feel completely at ease.
-
We accept cash, debit, credit, and HSA/FSA cards for payment. Please note that starting in January 2027, a CPT code will be applied to the scan. To assist you, we will provide an insurance reimbursement guide that you can submit to your insurance provider to check for potential reimbursement.

A few things to know before you book QTscan® is designed to work comfortably for a wide range of women, but a few practical factors determine whether it’s the right fit for you. Our team will review these with you before your visit:
• Weight — the scanner table can accommodate patients up to approximately 400 lbs. (181 kg).
• Bra/cup size — the scanner is built for cup sizes roughly A through DDD.
• Water immersion — because the exam uses a warm water bath, it isn’t suitable if you’ve recently had a breast biopsy or other procedure where you’ve been advised to avoid submerging the area, or if you have an open wound or sore on the breast.
• Pregnancy or nursing — QTscan® is not performed on patients who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Allergies — please let us know if you have a sensitivity to chlorine, alcohol wipes, or medical grade adhesive tape, as these are used during the exam.
• Implanted devices — the scanner’s breast positioning system uses a magnet, so QTscan® is not available to patients with pacemakers or other magnetically sensitive, implanted devices.
None of this is meant to be a hurdle — it’s simply how we make sure every scan is safe and produces the clearest possible images. If you have questions about whether QTscan® is right for you, we’re happy to talk it through before you book.
